About Liverpool Academy of Music

Created by potrace 1.15, written by Peter Selinger 2001-2017 About LAM

Founded in 1950, The Liverpool Academy of Music is possibly the oldest, privately owned music school in Australia. During its 60 year history, it has been chosen by many thousands of persons who have been tutored to play music as a profession or as a lifelong pastime. In either case, the experienced teachers at the Academy are committed to developing the aspiring musician’s potential.

Since 1983, the director of the Academy has been Steve Flack (A.Mus.A. and L.T.C.L. in classical guitar) who regularly prepares some 50 students of all levels each year for Trinity College examinations. He also gives tuition in jazz (having released a c.d with singer Jill Player), slide and finger picking guitar.
